What is Nutrition?

Proper nutritional intake is essential to overall health and provides the raw materials the body needs to function in the form of carbohydrates, proteins, fats, vitamins and minerals.

According to the Cleveland Clinic:

“Nutrition is the process of eating and absorbing food that your body needs for nourishment. It involves breaking down food into nutrients. Nutrients are chemical substances your body needs to function. But this essential process does much more than that.

Nutritional Testing:
  • Micronutrient “vitamin” Deficiency test:

Micronutrient testing analyzes your white blood cells, identifies nutritional deficiencies and provides insights into some of the challenges you body is facing, thus allowing us to recommend supplementations to enhance your overall well-being.

  • Delayed allergy testing:

Lymphocyte Response Assay (LRA) tests analyze the entire delayed immune response to determine which allergens are causing reactions. By analyzing the reactive lymphocytes, these tests provide specific, accurate, and reliable results to assist in your treatment.

  • Neurotransmitters and hormone testing:

Hormones are powerful molecules essential for maintaining physical and mental health. An imbalance of any one hormone can throw your physical and mental health out of balance, causing aggravating and even serious health problems.  Urinary neurotransmitter profiles provide insight into a patient’s overall ability to synthesize and metabolize neurotransmitters.
